The Rule of Law, Justice and Punishment, International Standards:
the World and Japan in Dialogue
---International Debate to make Japan Closer to the Rest of the World---
This will be an especially important meeting at the political level, Japanese, European, and specifically Italian. Mr. Kamei, Chairman of the Parliamentary League for the Abolition of the Death Penalty in the Japanese Diet, will extend the invitation to all other MPs. Personalities from the world of politics and culture will be invited, as well as Western European embassies in Japan, significant figures in the world of culture Japanese, intellectuals and jurists.

2. Capital Punishment and Value of Human Life

Perception of the Death Penalty from Different Perspectives
It is a conference that aims to gather different points of view on the issue of capital punishment in Japan. Several representatives of Japanese religions participate in the debate; will be present Ngos and grassroots groups working on the ground and in the prisons of the country, with death row inmates and prisoners in general; also lawyers and people involved in the process in court will participate in the initiative.
